The Shiplake College Boat Club have been busy on the water with their Brooklands Executives sponsored craft.

Junior National Sculling Head, Henley
After a term blighted by the flooding, the J.14s put in a solid performance at the Junior National Sculling Head. Both A and B crews raced and despite their inexperience finished in the middle of the field.

4th March - Schools Head, Hammersmith.
Strong winds brought panic to the organisers of the Schools Head this year, leading to the wise decision to shorten the course.

The J.15s continued their tradition of starting a successful season with calamity. With no hint of irony they crashed into a safety buoy, breaking an oar and effectively ending their race.

The J.16s finished 3rd in their event, only a few seconds behind the winners and so hopefully they can look forward to a few wins at the right regattas this summer.

The 1st Four had a good race and despite only being together for a week were very competitive in a strong field.

The 1st eight might be disappointed with their finish place, but they have certainly improved since Reading Head. They were only 20 seconds off the main pack and yet they have only just begun to put into place their plans for speed.
